Volcom Partners with MIKA for Skate Zone

Mika has teamed up with one of the leading innovators in board sport brands - Volcom. Quarterly, they are hosting skate sessions for 30 of our neighborhood skaters at their venue in Costa Mesa for nights of skating, music and lots of fun!
Step up and Caring S.H.O.S.

Mika is looking for more adult “Amigos” to lead a small group of students through daily activities. Step Up is desigened to intensify Mika’s focus on equipping leaders to build communities with VISION
The redesigned format gives students an increased opportunity to grow in community with one another and key adult role models. Along with discipleship and academics we are focusing on 4 key enrichment areas: art, health, financial literacy and leadership development.

The Christmas Store

Mika’s 4th Annual Christmas Store was Saturday, December 19, 2009. 154 families came through the store representing almost 700 people. Nearly 1500 gifts were donated from 5 local churches and 4 businesses. Children Giving Gifts partnered with Mika this year to allow the children an opportunity to shop for their parents as well. It was a wonderful day!

This Christmas, Step Up students partnered with Soles4Souls and collected 162 pairs of shoes to help our neighbors all over the world!
Mika neighbors celebrate Thanksgiving together

Two of Mika’s target neighborhoods gathered the week of Thanksgiving to celebrate and give thanks. Maple enjoyed their 3rd annual Thanksgiving feast while Baker celebrated together for their first year. Many neighbors and volunteers gathered to enjoy an evening of food and thanksgiving.
6th Annual C3 Basketball Tournament - A Success!

For 6 years, Mika has partnered with the Costa Mesa Police Department and area churches to host the C3 Basketball Tournament on Shalimar Dr. in Costa Mesa. This year’s tournament sponsors were Wells Fargo Foundation and El Ranchito. Thanks to all who participated in this event!
10th Annual Maple Golf Tournament

This year, Mika partnered with The Crossing Church to hold the 10th Annual Maple Golf Classic. The tournament raised almost $25,000 for the Maple Learning Center.
Mika Hosts GO Trips with ROCKHARBOR

For 3 years Mika has partnered with ROCKHARBOR Church in Costa Mesa to host their summer GO teams. This summer, Mika welcomes 3 weekend trips.
National Night Out

On August 4, Mika partnered with the Costa Mesa Police Department to host 4 neighborhood sights for the 26th Annual National Night Out. Neighbors and Police gathered all over the city for an evening of food and fun!
Local Churches host Mika for VBS

This summer, Mika has partnered with St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and ROCKHARBOR to host neighborhood kids for Vacation Bible School. The students have loved their time spent at VBS!
