Sept 11 - Free Electronics Recycling to Benefit Mika

September 1st, 2010

Saturday, September 11 from 10am - 3pm Fairview Self Storage is hosting a free electronics recycling event where the proceeds will benefit Mika.

Fairview Self Storage is located at 2955 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.  Items that cab be recycled include: televisions, monitors, computers, laptops, cell phones, MP3 players, printers, ink & toner cartridges, cables & wires, microwaves and most other electronics!  Bring your old electronics and support Mika.

Next Surf Camp - August 14th

We are stoked for the 6th summer of Christian Surfer’s Outreach! Saturday, August 14th is the next camp. We’ll be headed to Newport Beach to teach students from Mika’s target neighborhoods how to surf.  If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact Caryn@mikacdc.org

Mika’s Students Participate in Local VBS Sites

RockHarbor and St. Andrews Presbyterian invited Mika’s students to participate in their Vacation Bible School activities.  Students from all 4 of Mika’s neighborhoods attended and had a blast!

1st Annual Costa Mesa Community Picnic a Huge Success!

Last Saturday, neighbors from each of Mika’s target neighborhoods gathered together with other Costa Mesa residents at the Halecrest Community Park.  It was a beautiful day for Costa Mesans to come together and enjoy a day in the park!
